Introduction
My name is Sherry Graham and I completed my Master's Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University in 2014. I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
I began my teaching career in Cobb County Schools, educating first graders at Powder Springs Elementary School. To further myself as an educator, I decided to pursue my graduate's degree, which led me to KSU and the Department of Instructional Technology. I chose this path because I enjoy enriching 21st Century learners by facilitating learning experiences that increase their depth of content knowledge. I strive to impact students by giving them the knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes necessary to reach their fullest potential as independent, productive, and responsible citizens. The field of Instructional Technology directly aligns with my educational philosophy as well as my desire to be a leader in the field of education.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. There are a series of links above the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology as well as providing professional learning opportunities for them.
